Helga Anders-Faver

Born 15/11/1946 in Köthen, Saxony-Anhalt. At the age of 5 years with parents and brother moved to Leipzig. Here school through high school, training at the Academy of Visual Arts in Leipzig under the Musisches Abendakademie with Professor Walter R. coin and Curt, also artistic education in the family home, even first order paintings. After graduation and birth of their only son, beginning training as a hotel clerk, after a few years in the textile wasteland, besides painting and design work in the textile field, smaller exhibitions in Leipzig and Berlin. She makes  portraits and landscapes.

After the fall of the wall, she opened a business with her own textile creations. The focus was on textile design in particular applications on garments, what the fashion in the 90’s  corresponded perfectly.

Between 2000 and 2007 almost constantly living in Spain and worked as a professional painter. Here also lessons with the Spanish painter Jose Rodriguez in 2002 and 2003.  Mainly landscape paintings and scenes of the Spanish country life during this period.

In recent years, the interest grew for abstract and Surrealist painting, also created and produced many socially critical works.

In the years 2006 and 2007 Member of the Artists’ Association CIALEC in Cordoba. 


The peculiarity of the Spanish light has influenced the painting of recent years significantly. From July 2005 to August 2006in her own gallery and permanent exhibition with her husband Pieter Willemse in Altea (Spain).

From 2008 again intensified its activities in Leipzig, opening of the “Atelier Nr. 17” in the Gottschedstrasse 17 and another studio in the Gustav-Adolf-Strasse 15th. To participate in 2008 at the 12th Open Art Award with Ján Gebser Academy, she received a certificate and the predicate “Cum Laude”.

The artist has exhibited several times in Spain and Germany. At the moment in our gallery ART9Gallery.
